Why MOUSYKITCHEN?

IMy name is Simon Maus, I am 22 years old and a passionate hobby cook. For me, however, cooking is often more than just a hobby. Besides everyday life, cooking is a good balance, I can live out my creativity and if it tastes good, make other people happy and full.

I am convinced that anyone who wants to can cook. My goal is not only to post food pictures and make many people hungry. That's why with MOUSYKITCHEN I want to provide the recipes for the pictures and dishes so that everyone can cook them with a simple explanation. I want to inspire and try new things - and share the results here. Food is more beautiful together, so why keep the ideas and recipes to yourself?

What is MOUSYKITCHEN?

First of all, MOUSYKITCHEN is a kind of food blog where I want to share my recipes and creations. In my opinion, everyone can cook and through simple explanations I want to bring my recipes closer to people. In combination with my Instagram profile, you can cook simple but also more difficult recipes.


In the future, I would like to offer a book-me service in addition to ideas, creations and recipes. As a rental chef, event chef or combined with a small cooking class of a hobby chef. At the moment this is a dream, but I hope to be able to turn it into reality in the near future! You are welcome to send me enquiries or questions via the contact form.

Who is MOUSYKITCHEN?

As the name suggests, my name is Maus - Simon Maus. I'm 22 years old and I'm passionate about cooking. It all started when I was 16 years old. My mum's fried potatoes were nothing like I saw on TV - so I just tried it out myself.
From then on, I helped more and more in the kitchen or made them myself. A passion and a great hobby developed, which is why I even considered becoming a chef and did a 4-week internship. This taught me a lot and also made me realise that cooking will remain a hobby.

In March 2020, I decided to apply to the TV show "Die Küchenschlacht" on ZDF to put my skills to the test against others. I was accepted and arrived with the motto "To be there is everything". However, it went surprisingly well and I was able to win the first week and the ChampionsWeek, which put me in the annual final of Küchenschlacht.

There I surprisingly prevailed and am now:
